Guest talk by Prof. Hoog Antink

Begin: End: Location: Virtual meeting room
Christoph Hoog Antink (from TU Darmstadt) presents some results of his work (in German) on sensor fusion, artificial data, and maschine learning for medical applications.

Christoph Hoog Antink is professor for Artificially Intelligent Systems in Medicine at the TU Darmstadt. In his talk on "Sensorfusion, Künstliche Daten und Maschinelles Lernen für die Medizin", he will sumarize some of his recent research results. In general, sensor fusion is a process that combines information from various sources and has numerous applications, from estimating positions of aircrafts to stereo vision in biological “systems” such as human beings. In medicine, however, information from multiple sources is often processed individually and presented separately, leaving the fusion process to medical professionals. In his talk, he will discuss underlying technical difficulties of sensor fusion for medical applications and potential solutions, ranging from dynamical systems to machine learning.
