Applied Optimization in Engineering (AOE)
Numerical optimization is a cornerstone of modern engineering, with applications in automation, production planning, logistics, and machine learning. Many engineering problems can be efficiently formulated and solved as optimization problems, where optimal decision variables are determined to achieve desired objectives while respecting constraints. In particular, for the large subclass of convex optimization problems, solutions can be obtained reliably and efficiently.
